ABOUT THE PLAY
Skylight opened at the Royal National Theatre in 1995 and won the coveted Laurence Olivier award for Best New Play and later was nominated for several Tony Awards. This mesmerizing chamber piece explores the highly charged personal relationship of Tom and his former lover Kyra. Their unexpected reunion ignites not just viable passion, but their long-standing ideological differences. The play is "a wrenching dance of desire and frustration, reaching out, shuffling forward and then quickly drawing back, like children fascinated by a fire." New York Times.
